MCRG Master Plan Educational Survey: A Call for Your Help
Dear Friends, Neighbors, Supporters, & Concerned Citizens,
Montrose Citizens for Responsible Growth (MCRG) plans to conduct an information campaign about the county Master Plan. Our purpose is to inform Montrose County citizens about the background, purpose, and usage of Master Plans, and to publish and to explain the specific contents of our Master Plan.
Following the information campaign, we intend to retain an independent, professional survey/ polling organization to conduct a scientific survey of the citizens of Montrose county on the subject of formal adoption of our Master Plan as the guiding document for land use planning, decision-making, and land use regulations for Montrose County.
We hope to enlist the input and assistance of the Montrose county professional land use staff. And, we plan to complete this project before the November elections.
We would like to reaffirm our non-partisan and apolitical stance. We only strive to provide accurate and timely information on the Montrose County Growth issue, so that our citizenry and county officials can make informed decisions.
We are a registered Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(4) non-profit organization (20-4640999). We were awaiting approval so that we could declare this campaign and survey as a tax-deductible, educational event. At this time, we feel that we must go forward despite the delay in the non-profit process.
At this time we are asking our supporters to assist MCRG with the completion of this important project with a contribution that will be stored in a separate fund and that will be used only for this specific project (thereby allowing contributions to become potentially tax-deductible, pending IRS determination). An accounting of all contributions will be provided to all contributors on a monthly basis. Any unused funds will be returned to contributors or they will be donated to the tax-deductible organization of your choice.
We welcome any comments or suggestions; and we thank you for your help in making this campaign a reality.
