Montrose Citizens for Responsible Growth introduces itself to the Montrose County Land Use Department, with a copy to the Montrose Planning Commission. In this letter, John Cossick outlines this organization’s belief that the Montrose County Master Plan was created with wide public support as a guiding and directive document, whose intent & policies should be used as a basis for Montrose County’s rules, regulations, and ordinances. Five other points within this letter call for the formal adoption of this master plan along with public input, and also asks for a brief and temporary suspension of subdivision approvals to allow for the orderly and comprehensive creation of regulations that comply with Montrose County’s Master Plan.
